Hey guys first time poster long time reader, really helped me out on a quite a few things and would like to say thanks :) anyway had a search couldn't find my exact answer
Basically im putting my new sound system in my car, it has a factory 7 speaker setup atm:
Centre
Front Left
Front Right
Rear Left
Rear Right
Parcel Shelf Left
Parcel Shelf Right
Basically i want to do this
Centre (disconnect)
Front Left (6.5 Split)(tweeter separate on dash)
Front Right (6.5 Split) (tweeter separate on dash)
Rear Left (6.5 Coax)
Rear Right (6.5 Coax)
Parcel Shelf Left (8" midbass driver)
Parcel Shelf Right (8" midbass driver)
Boot (2 x 15" Subs)
will this be ok? or should i put the midbass drivers somewhere else? do i need a box for them or some sort of enclosure, everything will Memphis M-Class. Any other input would be awesome!

Ideally if you are really after top notch sound, get the midbass drivers up into the front doors. Consider a 3way component set up running passively for easy install or active for advanced install. If they are going in the rear parcel shelf, they definitely will need a enclosure around them.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

I have done allot of searching could you reference something that explains 3 way active setups? basically my understanding is that each speaker is power by a single channel on an amp and the processor just selects the Hz range is plays? also if i were to put the 8" mid bass drivers in the door where would i put the 6.5 speakers?
