Doing a RS install on a 2010 Honda Civic using an Avital 4103 and a PKH34 bypass module.

My connections on the RS seem to be correct as the vehicle attempts to start, flashes the key icon indicating that the proper key is not detected. I did not connect the "4 pin satelite harness" from the RS as I have no clue what to connect it to?

My PKH34 connections are as follows:

D2D cable from PKH34 to Avital 4103 (Red port, verified its the correct.

Black cable  in 10 pin harness - Ground (also tried removing this wire as D2D seems to support ground)

Red - Constant 12v (verified with multi-meter

Brown - To RS (ground when running

Violet - to Light green wire in 7 pin white harness (presumed to be data)

I am assuming that my install should be completed using 'install B' of the instructions although there is no mention of a 2010 civic, even though the website (xpresskit.com) shows it as compatible.

The bypass unit LED only comes on when the brown wire of the 10 pin harness is grounded. If I "disarm" the system the LED on the PKH34 goes off.

Per my understanding of the directions the LED should come on when the key is turned to the on position, then turn off when the unit is programmed. I also cannot get the unit to reset using the instructions provided. The light stays on until I remove ground from the brown wire.

Might as well disconnect the D2D cable and go W2W only.

Install Type B is correct.  Your connections look good.
PKH34 --->
Black to Chassis Ground
Red to +12V constant
Violet to Civic 7 Pin Immobilizer Plug, Pin 3 Light Green ( very thin wire )
Brown to Viper Blue (-) Status Output

Start off with a PKH34 reset, then program to the Civic.  I have seen mention

of leaving the Brown GWR wire disconnected while programming.  Never had an
issue with it connected while programming but...

Here is info from another post on resetting the PKH34 :

"I just wanted to say that when I went to program the PKH34 it didn't work like the instructions said, I had to hold the button in and then plug in the harness and then turned the key to the on position and the light goes out, release the button. Done! "

Soldering is fun!

I came across this post while using google to figure out my problem. Hopefully someone can assist. I'm installing a Avital 4103 w/PKH34 on a 2013 Honda Pilot. I have followed the wiring information listed on a different post but I am not able to get the vehicle to start. I'm only hooking up the minimums so I have not hooked up: tailgate, factory arm/disarm, horn. I have the the PKH34 hooked up W2W with the brown going to the blue status output on the 4103 and the violet going to the pink ignition on pilot. When I initiate the Remote Start the engine will crank but will not start. During this process the green key light flashes on the dash. If I insert the key into the ignition and try to Remote Start everything works. This leads me to believe I am having an issue with the PKH34. Any ideas? I have tried to reset the PKH34 by unplugging and plugging back in while holding down button but it doesn't seem to actually reset. Thanks in advance for the help.

Unless you have something different for instructions than I do the Violet wire should go to DATA not ignition.
The green key light is communicating that a transponder key (chip key) is not in range of the transceiver meaning your bypass hasn't programmed correctly.
Your wiring on PKH34 should be (W2W no D2D cable connected)
Red: 12v
Black: Ground
Violet Data
Brown: to the Blue (satellite FOUR pin harness) of the Avital

To clarify on your violet wire see http://xpresskit.com/DocumentDownload.aspx?documentid=9565&productid=553&firmwareid=10103 install type 1 (page 3)
The violet wire should be connected to pin 6 which is either pink or light green.

Thank you for the reply. I didn't think the violet wire would go to the ignition either. I must have misunderstood some of the instructions I was going by. I have the PKH34 wired up correctly other than the violet wire. I will try first thing in the morning. Thank you again for the info.
