Hi everybody. This is an excellent board. Very informative. I just purchased a Hornet 554T security / auto start system from e-bay. I have been reading the manual prior to the eventual install in my 1995 GMC Vandura. Are you installers familiar with this system? Is there anyway to install a pushbutton in the vehicle that will (page) the keychain remote? I thought this would be a great feature. Any other thoughts on this system would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just installed the 554T myself. The unit has that feature. I believe if you push the valet switch x amount of times, the unit will page the remote.

You have factor in antana placement. However, I was able to use my remote from at least three inner city blocks away.

Say Mack. How exactly do you page the remote? Where does it tell you how to do this? I have the install guide.

I don't think the function is mention in the manual. However the icon (12)Vehicle Page Mode Indicator will display after you pushing the valet button. To answer your question, i don't know. It just happen by accident after playing ah programing features.

I will try again and report back to you.

I finally figured it out. In valet mode, press and hold the switch approximately 10 sec. During normal operation, unarmed i think, press and hold the switch between 10-20 sec.
