they do make pc power supplies that run off 12v properly. then you don't need the inverter. and they aren't even super expensive. many are designed to survive cranking and can handle the power on / power down logic as well.

yea I saw some adapters that fit the back of the PDA and turns into a fig charger. I was gonna take the cig part apart and tap a fuse line however when I ordered a couple the circle tip that goes in the PC didn't fit.I saw those universal ones they sale for PC's and I wasn't about to shell out 80/100 bucks for an adapter set that I was gonna only use two pieces of it .so for now I got the invertor
tll I find a adapter and I thinking of putting a relay on it so I don't have to keep going to my trunk. Do you have a link that has some that will fit my PC

Clicky...
Look specifically at the picoPSU-120 ($45.00) or the PST-ITX-3 ($30.00). Either of those should run your PC, based on what you've told me. Me? I like to overbuild everything. I'd choose the 3 over the pico... More power reserves, and NOT run at 90% every time it's powered up...
Depending on the BIOS/motherboard, you might be able to tell it to boot automatically upon re-application of power. Look for AC power settings, in the setup. That'll keep you from having to go to the trunk every time before you start up...
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

You're talking to a specialist! LOL I do it every day! It's my job! :)
Your link didn't work. Give me searchable keywords, (manufacturer, most importantly...) and I'll locate the PC on my own.
