OK, here goes and use that DMM to test EVERYTHING, I don't trust the source, DEI when it comes to BMWs, I had to upgrade their info on the E46, they even initially got the lock and unlock wires the wrong way round.
Black 12 pin plug located just behind the glove box with it's pins facing towards you on top of a vent just to the left of the body computer.
WHITE/ red lock (I had WHITE/ black) and blue/red unlock.
Both POS.
Also on that plug, RED / white, 12v+ supply, ACC violet/white, ground BROWN / orange.
Once you've tested and confirmed, join the RED / white to the WHITE/ red and hold for a few seconds, see if it lifts the windows. And let me know.
By the way none of the above will show without the driver's door being closed, the passenger door catch (on lock at rear of door ) pushed over and the key removed.
Configure the wiring thus:-
BROWN / black and WHITE/ black don't use, insulate.
Violet and violet black, join to your red power supply.
GREEN/ black to RED / white.
Blue/black to blue/red.
GREEN/ black to lock wire

I'll check tonight after I get home from work (1PM Eastern here in the US).  Towards the bottom of your post, the colors I bolded - you're referring to the wiring on the Avital harness, correct?

Great, thanks!  Only thing I'll ask, last line you say 'GREEN/ black to lock wire' - what lock wire?  WHITE/ red lock on the 12-pin?

OK, I need to pin out this connector in chart form, or it will just keep confusing me.
Car side 12-pin plug (Connector X13026)
Pin#   Color        Function
1      RED / White     +12V
2      Violet/White +12V Ignition
3      BROWN / Orange Ground
4      BROWN / Grey    Drivers Door Jam Switch Input
5      BROWN / Blue    Passengers Door Jam Switch Input
6      Not Used
7      BLACK/ Blue    Horn Output
8      Blue/Green    To Crash Control Module
9      WHITE/ Red     +Door Lock
10     Blue/Red      +Door Unlock
11     BROWN / White
12     BROWN / Red
OK, now from what I understand of the Avital wiring so far:
H1/1 - Red - +12V - Splice To Pin 1 X13026
H1/2 - Not used
H1/3 - Not used
H1/4 - Not used
H1/5 - GREEN/ Black - Lock #30 Common Output Splice To Pin 9 X13026
H1/6 - Not Used
H1/7 - Violet/Black - Lock #87 Normally Open (Input) - Splice With H1/1 Red
H1/8 - Blue/Black - Unlock #30 Common Output - Splice To Pin 10 X13026
H1/9 - Violet - Unlock #87 Normally Open - Splice With H1/1 Red
H1/10 - Not Used
H1/11 - Black - Chassis Ground (Can Splice to Pin 3 X13026)
H1/12 - Not Used
H1/13 - Not Used
H1/14 - Not Used
H1/15 - Yellow - +12V Ignition - Splice To Pin 2 X13026
H1/16 - Not Used
H1/17 - Not Used
H1/18 - Not Used
Am I missing anything??

It works!!! Thank you SO much!! Really, I can read a proper wiring diagram just fine. The garbage instructions that Avital sent would never have gotten me anywhere, and I plan to send them an email stating as much. It may work for professional installers who're used to how they do things, but for anything outside of the audio/security world - it's not very intelligently layed out.
Thanks again!!!

Unfortunately it does say "for professional installers only" at the bottom of page 1 and that's their get-out when you email them.
Now try to see if by joining the RED / white to the white red for a few seconds it closes the windows , if so I'll give you a pair of nice mods.
