Hi, I have a vss3000 that I installed myself and everything works just fine except I need to switch the door lock pulses from 1-2 pulses. I turn the ignition on and off, press and hold the valet switch and wait, no light comes on... I can't figure out why this is not working and I have been searching the internet for many hours many different days over the last few months. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Is there certain wires that have to be hooked up in order for this switch to work, because I do have some empty slots that i felt were unnecessary. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ignition wire (H3/1) has to be hooked up to vehicle ignition as it is a input/output.

And the green (-) door trigger must be connected or at least grounded.

I never have the green (-) door trigger hooked up or grounded and program fine. That was a requirement on the really old units around the 550hf models but haven't needed it since. I been programming through the valet since the 550hf I haven't as of late needed it hooked up on the bench to pre program and test units that don't have remotes, add remotes with 3 wires power ground and ignition.
