I got everything up and running the remote start works perfectly car runs and drives perfect the only problem I'm having now is the security light keeps flashing when I remote start it. Is there any way to fix this if not I can live with it lol.

Would you be able to explain and give me some directions for that or direct me to where there are directions I am familiar with relays but I just need a little bit more help on what you're explaining.

Which wire on the alarm do I have to connect it to so that the relay activates? Still a little confused can you be a little bit more exact to my alarm setup. With the wire that I have to cut be the wire going directly to the security light socket with the bulb in it and which one would I have to use the positive or the negative wire of the socket? Trying to figure out exactly what I need to do. The diagram you gave me is very helpful I just need a little bit more help on exactly what wires I'm using.

H2/9 or H2/21 goes to 85.
It doesn't matter which of the the two wires to the bulb you cut.
If you require any more help don't attempt it, you can't understand it. I'm going to suggest you read the sections on relays and diodes this is too basic for me to start teaching you. Do some research.
All the diagram does is to use the relay as an on-off switch to break the bulb's circuit.

Howie, there's absolutely no reason to be condescending I was just asking for simple explanation that's all :)

But it wouldn't be simple enough.
Just follow that diagram.

OK but the second post explained the wires, use H2/21 if you're already using H2/9 for a by-pass.
Logically it doesn't matter which bulb wire you cut, you're still breaking the circuit.
That's why I took umbrage, you didn't appear to think it through.
