Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum and was asking for some help

I have included the wiring colors for the alarm & remote start and my cars ( 1998 Toyota Celica Automatic ) wiring colors. I need someone to tell me which wire from the alarm goes to my car wire by wire and if a wire does not apply just put "Not Used" next to it. I know a lot of wires won't be used.

Thanks in advance!

I believe personally in reading the installation manual and figuring out most of the connections that are self-explanatory first (siren, brake, horn, etc). Use a multimeter and test EVERYTHING. Don't just assume it's correct.
Once you have completed that, and still have any connections you are unsure of, post back to us for help.

H1/1, H3/2, /6, & /9 to Constant 12 volt of you ignition harness, White(+)

H3/3 to Gray(+) -----H3/1 to Black(+)----H3/4 to to BLACK/ White(+)

H2/2 and H1/2 to chassis ground-----H2/16 to GREEN / WHITE(+)

Go to the downloads section of this site for the install manual for a Viper 5701. It has a section on how to find and test for the wires you need. If you don't have a Digital MultiMeter (DMM),  STOP!  Go get one.   Do a search on this site for previous post for you vehicle. The answer my be in there.

Link to Bulldog Security for wiring GUIDE. Wires listed may not match you car. Test and verify the wires you need with a DMM.

When all else fails, Read the Instructions

I'm sorry bospet40, no offense meant by my response. This site is filled with so much information, including alarm installation manuals, that could help you. I've always searched for the info before I ask anyone for help.
Sometimes I take for granted what I know and forget that I was in that spot once of not really knowing where anything goes.
I would be happy to help you if I can.
Good Luck!

None taken shortcircuit.

I understand. So happens this alarm is Vipers top of the line and so when I called them about the install instructions they told me to research it or get it installed.

I'm a mechanic but never really did an alarm install. Stereos I can do with my eyes closed, lol. But some of the terminology with alarms I'm not that good at yet.

Alway's on the other end of taken them out of peoples cars when they fail. Anyway, great site and people.

Nice to be a menber!

Here is a link to the Viper 5904 Install guide.   https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=1112

While it doesn't go into detail like the older 5901 Install Guide, you could still use the 5901 manual as a reference.

Soldering is fun!

How does this look so far. I'm trying my best to hook this up without any manual from Viper. Did I miss anything? The question marks mean I'm not sure if this gets hooked up or not. Thanks again.

If that question is too long winded, sorry. How about this.

H1/5  (white wire) Parking light output in a 1998 celica automatic W /no factory alarm IS THE LIGHT FLASH POLARITY + OR - ? dimmer or parking switch side?  and whick I also have to switch on the alarm brain as well.
