Ok to start out its a 2005 pontiac grand am automatic 4 door with the 3.4L engine power windows and power door locks.

the alarm starter combo is the CARVOX X6-C

i also ordered the 555LW and the 456LW

since its my first time using them i wanted to ask do i also need the 457GW?

it also says in the wiring "Notes: Lock is straight negative trigger. Unlock is negative trigger thru a 1.5K (1500) ohm resistor. MUST use relays. MUST close doors to lock with a single pulse."

does that mean i have to buy and install my own relays?

also it says "Notes: The driver door trigger is lt. GREEN/ black in the gray plug, pin B7. The passenger door (and rears on 4 dr) is lt. blue in the lt. gray plug, pin B10. Use both wires and diode isolate each"

does this also mean that i have to install diodes?

are does all this come this the interface moduals i bought?

maybe i just need both notes explained alittle better or will i see once i get to that part of the installation?

thanks any help is welcome

Did the car come with factory keyless entry? If it did do yourself a favor and return the 555L and 456L and get a GMDLBP or XK01. Either of these will lock and unlock, pop trunk, provide door triggers and bypass the Passlock II all thru the data bus. If it didn't come with keyless entry use the 555L to bypass the passlock, the 456L is a self-learning module for resistor type door locks. You do not need to use any relays for the locks or 457G. For the door trigger you will need 2 diodes

it did come with factory keyless entry. i ordered them off ebay so i will just try and sell them in my city.

so with the GMDLBP or XK01 it will do everything? its the only extra peice i will need for the installation? after one of those i just toss the factory remote away? also do i need a spare key for the installation? no matter what unit i use the door triggers need diodes? last question with factory keyless can those 555L and 456L still be used?

thanks alot!!

nevermind the question about using the ones i have

i just looked GMDL-BP up and it says no key needed

so i'm going to order that one right now.

only question i guess i need answered is about the diodes? if needed i will just use one of the setups i seen on here.
