Did you mean the valet button connected to the module?

Yes, that's what he should have said.
And it should be implied that the only valet button we should be concerned with is the prestige one as you can't reset it with any other valet button. So c'mon now common sense people!

No disrespect to our poster but common sense?
Here with DIYers?
Do me a favour how many times do you just want to ask if they've read the install guide at all?
Or can they read enough to spell?
From some posts you wouldn't think so.

Give a man a fish he'll eat for a day, Teach him to fish he'll eat for a lifetime.
I'm here to help not teach color by number's for remote start and alarms.
No disrespect but that's just my outlook on what I'm trying to provide here!

As you know I absolutely agree with your philosophy but we must draw the line between hand holding and thinking for the OPs and concise instructions.

But there in lies the problem who dictates where those lines are and what constitutes those lines? Do you consider each post as a new post or is it linear across the title subject. When someone says that they have done tach programming and settings changes you must assume that they know what valet button you are reffering to. Otherwise you end up with the shotgun approach when a single pin brick would surfice to accomplish the goal.

The answer my friend is that it's a thin line between thoroughness and obsession!
Most good pros will admit they are almost OCD when it comes to their work so the points have been made lets call an amicable end to it.

In my defense I say...don't assume, it makes an ASS out of U and ME.
It's a quick simple yes or no question to ask not to mention I stopped installing professionally over 15 years ago and this is my 1st install in 6 years. So I know I'm obsolete.
I know a lot has changed so I'd rather ask a simple question than try for 3 hours racking my brain trying to figure out what the hell I did wrong.
I ask for some leeway from someone that's out the loop and thank everyone for their assistance and time.

To Ken Audiovox Tech services, set set up your own password and press icon at top for manuals.
To krushmoto, no offence meant and none taken, ditto to Lurch we don't know your levels of expertise so my attitude is to assume the worst.
Please keep asking when in doubt, naught (nought?) wrong with your questions.
