Door trigger = the pinswitch in the door jamb that tells the alarm that somebody opened the door. Door Lock = the wiring to lock and unlock if you had electric door locks.
Under the dash there should be some lights that light when you open the door. There should be one orange wire and one white wire on that light. White = door trigger.

yea a lot of older chevys have a light under the dash that comes on when you open the door. this is the easiest place to get a door trigger BUT if the fuse is blown then the light wont work and the alarm wont be able to tell that a door is open. i cant imagine someone installing an alarm and not hooking up the doorpin wire so my bet is that something is wrong with the doorpin circuit and the alarm cant recognize that a door has been opened and thus re arms itself after a few seconds.
usually though this is a programmable feature of the alarm and you can turn this feature on and off. if you have access to the installation manual then you should be able to turn it off.

Did I mention door locks?
Read what Mr. I said, also Soundnsecurity, both verifying what I said.

I have a 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo 350 carb engine and 350 automatic transmission. I have a trackpro alarm with remote start. I have installed the alarm and remote start. The alarm works fine but the remote start when I turn it on the starter turns the engine over but it doesn't crank. When I put the key in and turn the ignition switch to run position and I push the remote start the car cranks. Any info would be appreciated.

What are you using to prime the carb? Most remote start systems are not designed to work properly on a carb'd engine...

Sorry, I missed the bit that said CARB. Forget it, you need some kind of actuator, e.g. trunk release solenoid to "pull" the throttle linkage and release before you can start and run.
Contrary to the last post NO R/S caters for carbed cars.
You could try increasing the crank time.
