I just did a 2008 Elantra the other day and the customer did not care about the factory alarm so I just connected the normal lock / unlock wires. However, he says that when it is remote started, the locks are not working. I did notice while testing that if I locked with the factory remote then remote started it, the locks would not function, but if I locked with the Compustar remote, the locks worked fine while running. But now I'm wondering if maybe that was just a coincidence. Anyone ever run into this? I'm thinking I may just wire up the arm / disarm and see if that fixes it, but I wanted to check before dealing with PITA arm / disarm relay setup.
Thanks

On Hyundais you need to unlock with factory remote and the compustar will work during rs. Tell them to unlock it and leave the remote in a drawer.
