DMM is set to 200 ac. when i check my tach wire on my civic i use the same setting. i test the yellow wire on the driver side diagnostic connector of 2001 kia sephia. and i also check the light green wire in the ignition coil.

Did you try one of the injectors yet? The injector usually gives the best signal. Test that and see what you get.
