But isn't that merely an alarm circuit that turns on something else (a horn etc)?
The trigger circuit is easy - that just uses the door switches to turn on the "chime".
You want a buzzer or chime circuit that gives you the sound you want. Yes?
Also, try any BMW etc site. Howard thought Israel & India would have the "local" expertise.
Alas, political policy sometimes prevents us decent people doing what we should be free to do - eg, helping others. But hence the beauty of things like this forum and the web - we can cooperate on the human level. (Ooops - that sounds political. I'm merely pushing the people to people aspect.)
Maybe later I will try searching for that information. But not now - my girlfriend awaits me yet again.
Sorry too if my writing is difficult to understand. But even English speakers have troubles with that! build a door alarm - Page 5 -- posted image. build a door alarm - Page 5 -- posted image.

The BMW E36 has the chime you want, eg - youtube JrWXsZUQZWI.
The pin outs are as per unofficialbmw e36_gong.
Examples of the different triggers/pins/sounds is at youtube pxnlJAvyr5s.
And an example for one sale is eBay item 251225287029 for USD$25.
PS - it seems the E36 E38 E39 E46 chimes are all the same, but I only found that first link for the E36 that matched your sound file.

Except how does he buy it?
Relatives in the US or Europe, in which case why didn't he get them to do this in English?

What? You mean eBay USA won't ship to Iraq? Geez, they shipped...
Yeah... But I figured one thing at a time.
And maybe he can get the module locally. After all, someone did.

Needy people need a "nice" chime for their cars?
I think that translator means "wanting" people - ie, people that want that chime for their cars.
If anyone "needs" a chime, they would use an ordinary buzzer connected from +12V to the grounded door switches, probably with diodes inserted in each door-switch circuit to prevent one circuit effecting the other.
But you are getting answers at eeweb.com.
The twin-T oscillator sounds good. I used to use then for electronic bongo & drums.
But for your sampled sound, getting the BMW module is probably the simplest and cheapest, unless perhaps someone has a circuit for one.
Otherwise a digital sampling chip or recorder, or mp3 player etc.
Or some other uPC or PICAXE that can be programmed for the same.

Yeah, sorry.
At first I thought you were referring to (limited?) hardware export to Iran (as opposed to "the Shah"), but then I saw I had mistyped.
I guess the USA has ceased exporting WMD etc knowledge to Iraq... (yes, Iraq.) build a door alarm - Page 5 -- posted image.
