can anyone here get a back to a viper rem

got a 5700 viper and the remote sucks. the back fell off one and now we have been using the other back on this remote. i emailed viper to see if i could buy just a replacement back and they told me to contact a viper dealer. i contacted the only local viper dealer and they wanted to sell me a whole new alarm....... can anyone here who is a viper dealer get just a few replacement backs????

Don't know of anyone to get the back of the remote from. You might get lucky at a authorized dealer that has junk remotes for parts or you can try ebay, but the authorized dealer probably sends the remotes back for some sort of credit. Hate to say it, but you're probably gonna have to buy another remote.I drink current, eat ohms, and bleed voltage

tried ebay. no luck (except for complete remotes) hence why im trying here. it just sucks. its a sucky design and im sure viper is aware of the problem (happened to both remotes over the span of a yr or so). i know i cant be the only one. if viper offered this as a replacement part im sure they would sell a ton. im starting how to learn to injection mold (maybe i will make some).

my phone doesnt get texts (i dont think it has enough g's, i think it only has a hlf of a g). i saw a missed call early this morning (was in the middle of changing a diaper) but i just havent had a chance to check my voicemail. im trying to get the baby to sleep soon and i have to get my stuff together because in the morning im shooting the M2 so im going to be a little busy. but yeah, i need one. the wife has scotch tape holding the battery in an that isnt working.
