hi guys i have a customer who i have helped a few times over the years... he has an alfa spider lusso 2000 plate and wants a new alarm as his factory fob has broken and alfa cant talk to the system to reprogram his spare. is there a way of disabling the system so it wont interfear with a new aftermarket alarm?

Hi Karl,
Not sure if those were ever imported to the States. The only forum member I am aware of that can help is on a temporary
hiatus ( hopefully ). Got some input from him to assist you.
"Look in the lower, left centre, console area, at the base well under the radio is the factory alarm by Meta.
Unplug it and work out the leads, door, hood (bonnet), trunk (boot), etc., all NEG trigger plus
lock and unlock (light blue and white?), again NEG trigger and indicators left and right (POS)
plus 12V+ constant, 12V+ ign and ground.
There are also 4 wires from there to the factory siren, thus if installing a Concept 650 Mk ll, just
use the existing wiring.
Other two wires are for the LED, also no immobilisation, really really simple."
