I just got the Viper 5904v for my Honda CRV 2003. There is no installer here, hence I need to install it myself. The instructions which came with it are not of much of a use. Can someone help with detailed instructions?

First you will need to get a transponder bypass.

Honestly, the 5904 is meant for professional installation but if you know the basics of testing wires with a multimeter, you can install it without any problem.
You need to search for the wiring diagram for your vehicle and match where each wire goes with the installation guide of the 5904.
And please don't use t-taps or scotchlock type connectors to attach the wires to your vehicle's wiring. They are just a headache down the road.
I am firm believer of "search and you shall find". Show us what you have so far and we can help you further.

Hi, thank you!!
Before I go ahead and open up my wiring....just want to make sure that I have done my homework.
1. I can see that there are a lot of wires which need to be connected. Do you know the absolute basic / essential wires I need to connect to make the Viper 5904v remote start my Honda CRV 2003.
2. By any chance do you have the wire color match diagram for Honda CRV 2003.
BR,
Sundeep.

There has been a Pictorial on a Gen 1 and Gen 3 CR-V's, but none on your Gen 2 model.
For vehicle wiring, here are some sources :
Here is a link to Bulldog Security : http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew/vehiclewiringdiagrams.asp
Here is a link to Ready Remote : http://www.readyremote.com/main.asp
Here is a link to AudioVox : http://techservices.audiovox.com/AccessRequest.aspx    Sign-up & info is free.
The Bulldog Security listing also has some nice photo's of some of the necessary wires. Make up a template of the Viper harness with notes on where the wire should be connected and post it for forum member review & comment.
