I am trying to install a Fortin EVO ALL standalone remote starter in my 2011 G37 Sedan automatic transmission. I followed Fortin's guide # 8441 and set the bypass option 15 and 18 to ON. The unit will not work correctly. I notice something not right about Fortin's A19 (WHITE/ Black) INPUT. This connection is supposed to be wired to G37's Brown (-)Push-To-Start connector. The problem is A19 from the Fortin constantly has ground reading. Am I missing something? In the Fortin Flash manager program you can trigger to bypass or remote start. Which one do I trigger it to and what options do I need to set. What I do not understand is A19 is an input into the Fortin but you would think the Fortin needs to output to the cars push to start wire. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems the EVO ALL I had is defective and I am getting a new one. Currently the all the connections still are made just no evo all plugged in. With that being said, the TX wire is cut, its what the install guide says. Any problems leaving it this way until I get the new EVO ALL? I do see on the dash a 'KEY' light on, I assume this will disappear once the evo all is plugged back in and completes the cut connection.

Leaving the connections the way it is will not cause any issues. Post your findings when you get the new EVO, but it does seem odd that the EVO was bad. Was it programmed properly ? What firmware was loaded ?

I should be getting the new one today. The unit would not reset, I was eve on the phone with Fortin and the guy said to hold the programming button while plugging it in, when the RED light came on let go and then hold the programming again until the other lights flashed or something to show it reset. That never happened. The unit came wit 4.18, I flashed the latest. Problem with the unit was that pin A19 always was on, sending ground. If you look at guide #8441, for standalone config 1 for 2011 G37 AT you will see that A19 needs to go to brown (-) of Push button. With A19 always sending ground, its always keeping the push button active and disabling the push button when pressed. Let me know if anyone has seen this before. The install according the the guide is so simple. I have done many many remote starters and I triple checked all my wiring. I am hoping the new unit will be ok and not constantly have A19 triggered.

New EVO all came in, programmed it and set option 15 on and runs like a champ. Only issue is when it remote starts and runs the duration and times out or if I stop it early it unlocks the car. I need to find out how to make it lock and arm.

All set, connection to the BCM was not good.
I am noticing now that whenever I pop the trunk the doors lock. I am not sure if it is an option in the EVO ALL that I need to turn off or what. It is not normal and the car never used to do that before the EVO ALL install. Any advice?
