01 d ram remote start

2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. I have the Viper 5701 and I am having 2 problems #1 I can't get the remote start to engage at all. #2 the status LED stays on in and out of valet mode everything else is working fine. if anyone knows which wires go from the alarm to which wires in the truck that would be great, because this one is baffling me. I have done at least 20 different car and SUV's but I'm stumped on this one . thank you in advanceninjafast

Unfortunately there's not enough information to go on. When posting a request for assistance, it's always best to post as much information as possible. Tell us what troubleshooting steps you have already taken, etc. Help us help you. And, posting a title like "01 d ram remote start" sounds lazy. If your request for assistance doesn't show that you put much effort into it, it's unlikely anyone will put effort into trying to help. Did you try pairing the remotes? Does the RS respond at all to commands from the remotes? Assuming the truck is an automatic transmission, did you put the remote start in automatic transmission mode? Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

sorry I was trying to keep it short. the remotes are paired and the everything works but the remote start. I have not tried automatic trans mode yet, but I was going to try that tomorrow what I am looking for is wire to wire just for the remote start. I have the viper 5701 (5202 b) and 2001 dodge ram 2500 diesel automatic. the door triggers work fine the door locks work fine all I need is to get the remote start to work. thank you for getting back to me :)ninjafast
