Hey Guys,
Was cleaning up a rookie install of a Viper 5701 Remote Start Combo in a 2007 GMC Sierra Classic Automatic.
I had taken all the equipment out of the vehicle while i cleaned up the wiring when i accidentally dropped the neutral safety switch on the ground without noticing.
By the time i realized what i had done, another worker had ran it over and crushed it to pieces.
Now i have 2 options, replace the switch, or find a work around.
I attempted to cut the switch off of the wire leads and connect the two leads together, but it did not work.
Now everytime i try to remote start i get 8 flashes error (neutral saftety switch)
Since this is a automatic vehicle, do i really need this switch installed.
Does anyone know a work around for this? Or do i need to replace this switch?

8 flashes is "toggle switch off". I'd just feed it a ground and call it a day. The 07 Sierra has a factory neutral safety, it won't crank in gear.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
