I haven't even put in my RS3 yet.  I've been reading and reading and still reading.   This IS the place to ask questions.   I am investigating all that I can before I proceed to install the alarm.  So far, I am ready, just gotta have some time to do it.

Just curious,

If there are no DIY directions, then what is www.diyhornet.com ?

LOL.  Wow, that's cool.  Why don't they have a diydeialarm.com, for the rest of the product line, that'd be great !   Installers/Retailers would lose alot of money though...

Just my 2cents for you.
Run two(2) power wires fused at the battery for your power to your alarm and accessories for the alarm.
Add new relays to the alarm to run functions. don't tap into factory ones.
Wire up all functions of the alarm NOW. You won't want to tear into it again later to try to add a function. Besides, it will be easier to wire everything once on the bench rather than under the dash.
Group (tape together or twist) wires from the alarm going to separate areas together. IE: wires going to the steering column from the alarm. etc...
This will clean things under the dash up and help hide the wires(if you use black eletrical tape) so that it is harder for a thief to quickly find the wires.
Find a spot not so obviouse for the brain of the alarm. For the same reason above.

What do you need to know. I think there are enough people here in this forum that can help you out with almost any problems or questions that you might have regarding your installation of a Hornet system.
