trying to install a viper vsm200 to a astrostart rss-2524. the vsm200 does not come with the same wiring harness as a asmu250 ( astro / autostart counterpart.) wondering if anyone has a diagram or can help make this work. the viper remote starters only need 1 connection while the astrostart needs 2. the d2d port (port 8) and the com port (port 10). I tried many diierent configuration and could not get the green led to flash at all. the amber led worked in every configuration. tried the vsm white wire grounded. then open while the grey wire was grounded. with and without the 2-pin power and ground connection. resetting power each time.

Are you sure these two units are compatible ? Did you call DEI ?

I'm having the same issue.

Trying to hook up a DSM200 smartstart to an astrostart rss-2514xr.

It came as a kit in one box.

According to the install guide, P10 com port, and P8 D2D port need to be hooked up.

I'm not sure if the white wire needs to be grounded, or the grey or none.

I've tried it all. Can only get the orange light on solid.

No green light at all

Any help would be great
