2006 tacoma compustar 6200 ads-tb drone 3100.onitially did the install using idatalink blade and was advised by tech support in this vehicle its better to use ads-tb module. Vehicle always remote starts via the push button remote .the drone however seems unreliable via iphone.the 3100 is installed high in the dash behind the cluster. The customer states only works sometimes and sometimes it cranks vehicle but doesnt start? Looking for any feedback thank you

How old is the drone. I was told they had a bad batch of them not too long ago. Mine works when it wants to as well. But it always starts when it does work. When it doesn't work I get a communication error message on my phone. If it doesn't crank long enough I would be connecting a tach. I don't think the brain cares how it got the signal to start. It should perform no different than what it does from the remote.

How did you wire the remote start? I'm trying to figure that out.

Well there are two ignition wires and two starter wires and I'm just trying to confirm what way works.
