I am trying to learn how to install a remote car starter
A lot of post talking about relay. Such as the following:
Pin 85 - Ground
Pin 86 - Starter from alarm (violet)
Pin 30 - Starter 2 on car
Pin 87 - +12V constant - Make sure you install a fuse. 20A should be sufficient.
I am new to electronic but like to learn to do things myself.
My question is: Is this relay already in the vehicle? Or do I have to buy a new one and put in the the fuse box or somewhere? and Where do you plug or put this relay to in the car if you do buy one?

I do a lot of research, found a lot of remote car starters and their diagram hardly show this relay. Does the remote car starter working without this relay?

Most units have a second low current NEG starter output. Thus:-
85 = low current NEG from RS unit
86 = IGNITION
87 = 20 amp fused constant
30 = output to second starter wire
It's also advisable to place a diode 1N4004 across 85 and 86, band to 86 to prevent back EMF (c. 200 volts) destroying your RS on relay shutdown.

Thank you for the response.
How does it label?
85 = low current Neg from RS unit. Does it label 85 on the RS unit or on the connectors?
86 = Ignition. Is this just a regular wire?
87 = 20 amp fused constant. Is this just a fuse?
The Doides? Do I need to buy one of this or does it come with the RS. Explain more about the crossing and the band Please.

Actually I've had a bad day, shouldn't have taken it out on you and didn't read your last post properly.
85 is the NEG side of a relay coil and marked thus.
86 Yes whatever you mean by a "!regular" wire.
87??? A thicker wire from a constant source fused at 20 amps.
You need to buy the diodes.
Really helps if you explained what RS and what car.
Having said that; from your questions I strongly advise you to save lots of time and $$$ and go to a pro!
