tdi200, you're welcome.

Howie, the u-bolt rod clamps worked so much better than the screw type. They are easier to install, a lot stronger, and will never come loose with nylock nuts or lock washers. In fact, I've never had to service one yet.

But then I've never had to service either type although I must admit the u-bolts will also take a thicker rod.

Trouble is I feel the problem is in the original mounting I can see from the photo that's going to give problems, if the clamp hadn't failed the motors would have burned out.

Before wiring up install the actuator and make sure everything moves freely, you're trying to achieve a push-pull that's parallel to the OEM rod.
