Hi,
I recently installed a generic central remote locking kit to my vehicle which came from the factory with only manual locking.
Everything is working fine except that sometimes the unit misbehaves.
It unlocks/locks by itself, or triggers the car finding feature by itself. That may happen if the car is parked or while driving. I have checked the wiring (good ground and 12 V). The unit is connected only to the motors and psu, i have not connected it to indicators, boot release etc.
Is it possible that the unit is being triggered by an external signal (interference....), or is it malfunction by itself?
Thank you kindly in advance

Certainly is possible to be triggered via external sources depending on the unit. Also, I would also check the ground. A ground that is not tight or on bare metal can cause all kinds of issues. Drivers kick panel in a paint free area bolted to the vehicle will be best.

Just remove the driver kick panel and find the black wire that gives you ground and the wire is attached to the car body by using a bolt. hope this helps.
Hi doing myself will bring great happiness and satisfaction even at the cost of time.
