I've been installing for 3 dealers for close to 13 years now and I've always used the free wiring sites (techservices.codesystems.com, readyremote.com, bulldogsecurity.com) now its seems there going away. Well all but bulldog. But I don't always trust them and they don't have the newest cars. I'm looking for a good known site (pay or not) for wiring. I'm looking for good or bad feedback on different sites. I do this on my own no affiliation with any companies.   One of the sites i was looking at is wirecolor.com just want to make sure if I go and spend $200 on a subscription its worth it.
Thanks Joe

Wire color is good but what are you installing? If you become an authorized dealer I prefer directed. There's also audiovox.

What is the "buy-in" amount to become an authorized Directed dealer? I do freelance work and don't have my own shop (go to the client's home) but I have a tax ID.
And how much is the monthly cost to gain online access via Directed?

Honestly. It's not necassaruly a buy in amount so much as fitting their criteria to become a dealer. Just shoot them an email or give them a call.

If you are buying through a distributor ask them for directechs access. If they are an authorized directed distributor then they can help you. I got my Audiovox wiring access through my distributor. Voxx and Compustar wiring sites look almost identical. They seem to be using the same 3rd party for it. I suspect it's maid pro. Also Fortins wire color is a paid site that's pretty good with pictures and all.

Does Audiovox wiring have images as well?

I was under the impression that directed can only be accessed by a select number of computers. Tracked by IP address. Anyone know if this is true ?

I don't believe this is true. But I could be wrong. BUT you do need to be an authorized dealer or distributor or technician thereof to gain access to the database.
