Geetings the12volt community!
I recently just got my Viper 4806v remote starter/keyless system installed by a colleague, with only one issue that bothers me: I lost the priority unlock feature with the Viper remote.
Still works with my OEM keyfob, but not with the Viper. I asked him if that's normal, and he said it's because my Viper unit does not have an option for priority unlock for Hondas/Acuras (Because I told him when he installed a Viper 4204 on my wife's Corolla, it kept the priority unlock).
He mostly installs Compustar systems (Because that's what he sells), so would it be that he just doesn't want to figure out how to wire it properly?
He also didn't install the hood switch (Which doesn't really bother me), but can anyone walk me through how to wire it up because I want to install it when I have spare time.
Sorry for the long post.
Thanks in advance to anyone that will help!

You are talking that it unlocks all the doors at the same time?
And you want it to unlock only the drivers door?
What bypass was installed?
If during remote start, you open the hood, does it kill the remote start? Might have used a factory hood wire.
When all else fails, Read the Instructions

Yes, now with the Viper remote it unlocks all doors with one press. If possible, I want to get priority unlock back. Not really sure what brand bypass he used though.
The hood switch, he didn't install totally because I still have it in the box. Really not a big deal to me if it's installed or not, I just want to learn how to install it myself.

kinda correct,Your CRV should have a YELLOW /GREEN for driver unlock.. but the viper doesn't have a individual drivers priority unlock wire. If you are ok with using an "aux" button you could hook it up to have drivers priority (ie hook up the drivers unlock to trunk pop), and keep the unlock button for all doors.. but honestly I would just keep it as is.
