Hello all,
I am attempting to install a 5706v in a 2003 Jeep Liberty.
Here is what I have done so far:
Jeep 2003 Liberty
- confirmed it does not require an additional security bypass module (black key - no remote built into key fob)
- wiring colors - consistent between two diagrams I have found
- 12v constant = red or pink/black
- starter wire = yellow
- parking light = lt green/orange
- wiring diagram 1
- ignition = dark blue
- accessory = black/orange
- 2nd acces = black/white
- wiring diagram 2
- ignition = red/blue
- second ignition = black/orange
- accessory wire = black/white
Remote start error
- hit start and it generates and error with 7 flashes (this usually mean that Manual Transmission mode is active)
- have set it to automatic by the following procedure
- key on/ then off
- hold valet button until 3 flashes/beeps happen
- hit valet button once and hold - flashes 1 time
- press unlock on remote - flashes twice
- turn key on and off
After doing this I still get the 7 flashes error code
Attempted the following:
- grounded the door input (green - pin 15) and standard door input (violet - pin 18)
- repeat above process several times
When I go to start it just returns error and the 7 flashes every time.
I have verified power on the following pins:
Main Harness (6 pin unit)
1 - +12V
2 - proper ground
3 - to plus side of siren (chirps correctly during programming)
4,5,6 - not using (listening to the relay chirps when it is supposed to be flashing)
Remote Start - 10 pin heavy gauge
1 - nothing
2 - +12v
3 - open (have tried using these to no avail)
4 - open (same here)
5 - +12v
6 - green goes to key side of starter wire (yellow wire)
7 - violet goes to starter side of starter wire (yellow wire)
8 - no connection (have tried connecting it to accessory wire)
9 - +12V
10 - Pink to Dark Blue and to red/blue - nothing on either
When I hit start on the remote there is no voltage on the violet OR the PINK wires at all.
Is it possible to have a bad unit?
Any help here would be appreciated!
