So far the system has been working good but I’m still having the valet mode problem I spoke about in my other post. If I drive the Jeep somewhere and pull over and pull the parking brake up to just hang out while the engine is running I hear relays clicking like twice every minute or so. If I’m parked long enough then when I turn the key off reservation mode is cancelled (the engine shuts off) and the remote displays the ZZZZ and I’m now in valet mode. I called Compustar today about this issue and the tech said he thinks a vibration issue is causing this problem. I’m not buying that answer and the fact that I’m not a dealer he seemed very standoffish on the phone. I was looking over the Idatalink Bypass instructions and it says to install a diode between the remote start ignition input and the blade’s ignition status output with the diode’s stripe toward the remote start brain. I did install this diode but if it theoretically failed would I possibly be getting feedback that’s “toggling” the ignition and would remote start even work?

The relay clicking when you stop and engage the parking brake is normal. The Compustar thinks you are trying or getting ready to enter Reservation Mode. Used to hear that on my Civic. It waits for a while and then gives up, then tries again. Try disengaging the parking brake for 30 seconds before you really want to start going into Reservation Mode for real.

Thanks for your reply Kreg. I can live with the relay clicking it’s no big deal just wasn’t sure if it was related to my valet mode setting problem. Hopefully someone can chime in about that.

Kreg is right. It's normal. Annoying, but normal. haha.
My 2015 JK is a manual, and I'm running a Compustar FT7000AS. When I idle with the parking brake set and take my foot off the regular brake, it tries to go into Reservation Mode. The parking lights flash and the siren chirps. After a few seconds it chirps again and lights flash.
If the clicking annoys you too much you can change the Reservation Mode setting in option 1-06 to FO2. See below. Once changed, you'll have to use the fob to activate Reservation Mode.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1-06 Reservation Mode: Optional manual transmission reservation mode procedures.
FO1 - Locks before set: (default) this option will lock the doors before the vehicle engine shuts
down to complete reservation mode. This procedure is much safer ensuring that the vehicle cannot be
shifted into gear after the engine shuts down and before or during the door locking procedure.
FO2 - Activate reservation mode using RF remote: This procedure is designed to give
the user more control over when reservation mode is initiated. (Default is any time the e-brake
is set reservation mode will engage). Once the e-brake is set the user must hold the start button
on the remote for 2.5 seconds before reservation mode will engage. Once engaged, reservation
mode will operate normally. Note: this procedure is strongly recommended for manual
transmission Push To Start (PTS) vehicles.
FO3 - Reservation sets 10 seconds after last zone is closed: This option will allow the user
to open any zone (that is connected to the CM7) within 10 seconds and extend the reservation mode
procedure time until 10 seconds after all zones are closed. If the user wishes to complete reservation
mode before the 10 second window is up they can arm or lock the CM7 using any means available.
Note: this procedure is NOT recommended for Push to Start vehicles (PTS)
Note 2: this is the only reservation mode option that will allow the user to complete
reservation mode using the arm/lock command. All other options will cancel
reservation mode with the arm/lock command.

Thanks Shaffer. I have 1-06 set to FO4 - Locks After Reservation Mode is Set. The FO1 - Locks Before Reservation Mode is Set was behaving oddly so I changed it to FO4 and it’s fine. I want to be safe/convenient so I will leave at this instead of going to FO2.
