Is it realistic to measure with sine waves?I mean we listen to music so why wouldn't we measure a dynamic track, observe the peaks and set up our systems from that data?I'm just wondering out loud and trying to get feedback from experienced professionals. Thanks!

yes, watch the sine way for when the distortion happens. the top of the curve will flatten out that's when you start clipping or distorting. None distorted will have a smooth way up and down, rounded at the top and bottom
