I have a 1500 watt sub dvc 2 and a 4000 watt amp. The amp is rated 3000 watts and 1 ohm and at 4 ohms itís rated 750 watts. I have 0 awg wiring and I was wondering if it would be better to wire at 1 or 4 ohm.

Wire 1 ohm and keep the gain down on the amp. Use a meter to set the amp appropriately so as not to blow the sub.

Oh boy. Use a multimeter to meter the volts out of the amp. Use ohms law to determine how many watts that is delivering to the sub. By doing this you can set the gain so when you turn the volume up you donít blow your sub....
