Does anyone know if there is a wire from the hvac control panel to the bcm that I can send a pulse signal to to turn on the rear defrost or is it all controlled in the panel? I would like it to work the same from the remote start as if the button on the control panel was pushed.

What you want will require connecting directly to the circuit board for the OEM switch. Mimicking the press of the switch to close the factory connections. Others have done it on here! https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=144319

the rear defrost and also mirror defrost is just a white wire -latched at the ac controls. should come on 15 seconds after its remote started. Seats are another animal if you don't have a bypass module that turns them automatically
33 years as a installer now just a retired old guy. Favorite thing to install/topic are remote starts/car alarms. Stop using test lights!!!
