I have a 2015 Toyota 4runner trd pro with factory remote start. 3x lock remote start. It sucks plus I wanted an all bells and whistles remote start/alarm so I got a Compustar cm7000 with a custom harness. I installed it today and forgot all about the factory remote start and got it all installed and set up and when I use my Compustar remote or my Drone Mobile to remote start my 4runner it works just fine.
My question is...Do I need to go through the ordeal of removing the factory remote start or is it ok to leave it in line?
Like I say, it starts up when I use the Compustar remote or Drone and just as well as the 3x on factory remotes lock button.
I just dont want to have any issues but also in the same breath..its gonna be a PITA the remove the factory remote start.
Any insight on this would be much appreciated.
Thx

It used a key. It is not push to start or smart key.

You can leave the "factory" remote start installed it won't be an issue so long as you don't need to press the lock button 3 times for something other than the factory remote start.
