Long story short. But after being a PITA I finally have the remote start wired up and working in my wife's 2009 MDX- EXCEPT - once remote started the factory fob no longer works (the system does not add a second thought to the keychain, it uses the factory OEM one).
The work around for this is to splice into the ignition power wire to the remote keyless entry module. Problem. Is, I can't find it!
Based on eBay, I think I know what it looks like.. but the TL's are under drivers dash, but didn't see it. The first gens are behind the glove box (sort of) but found nothing there.
Anyone know where to find it? My wife had errands to run so I threw her car back together....maybe it's in the passenger kick panel?

If installing an alarm, the door lock and unlock wires are inside the drivers door. Chances are, the box you are looking for is in the door. There is a green plug on the back side of the lock and unlock switch. Follow those 4 wires, they may go to a module. On that module, there may be a wire that has power on it when the ignition switch is turned on. You will have to depin the plug or cut that wire. Make sure you cut it in a place where you can easily reconnect it if it does not work.
