I am after a bitwriter to setup my alarm and reconfigure may alarm. the new series XK would be no use as I have not OBD in the vehicle. Mist that I see are out of stock - where to get even 2nd hand is ok

You should still be able to use an XK Loader3 if you want. It just uses the connector for power. You just need to put power to pin 16 and ground pin 4:

Not for just using the bitwriter functions. Other functions will be locked out.

I have found that some of the older DEI alarms may not program with the XK Loader3, but will program with the bitwriter.
