I have this 2008 Silverado 1500 that has a Viper 5706V with a DBALL3 installed. Everything was working fine until recently. The alarm functions properly but it will not remote start. The diagnostics is giving 4 flashes remote shutdown. Any ideas on what would cause this? The dash lights do not illuminate. However the check engine light is lit very dimly. If I start the truck with the key and then remote start with the remote I am able to remove the key and the truck continues to run but other than that nothing else seems to work as far as remote starting. Any info or ideas are greatly appreciated.

did you put in led tail lights? look for the switch, and make sure it's "on".
