Just installed a Compustar cm-900as on this vehicle. Everything is connected correctly as far as I can tell.   The unit will crank but not run. This vehicle does not have an ignition security system on it.   The key for the vehicle is a simple metal blank. It will start up and run fine with the key. I tried connecting the orange/white ( disarm) wire to the key sense wire at the steering column to disarm the factory alarm. This did not work either.   I have learned the tach per instructions and I get one flash of the parking lights after it learns it. ( should be learned) I used the black tach wire at the diagnostic plug on the engine. Any help would be appreciated. What have I missed? Thanks in advance.

Have you verified both ignition outputs at the ignition harness? Both the black/red and black/yellow should test 12 volts during remote start. As well as blue/red for accessory. Have you verified the yellow/red keysense is receiving a negative pulse?

Both ignitions are powered correctly. I however have not verified that the negative pulse is hitting the key sense wire. I will check that and get back. thanks

You didn't mention anything about the accessory wire. Here's a snapshot of the circuits it controls:

If it's not hooked up, I'd probably try that too.
Another thought is to use the ground while running wire for the keysense since factory disarm is just a pulse but when you drive, the keysense wire remains at ground.

Of course you could try remote starting with the key in the ignition. Does it remote start? If yes, then move the keysense to the ground while running wire.
If it doesn't remote start, turn the key to ignition and try to remote start again. If it starts, you missed a wire.
