hey i am seriously thinking about purchasing some volfenhag 15" subs (model zx4715) if anyone has heard these and knows some positive/negative traits of these subs please let me know if they can possibly be as good as they say they are.  I need to know moreso because i live in hawaii and shipping is like $50 a pair.  Thanks.

dont bother wasting your money on Volfenhag products...they sound like ass and if you give them their "rated" power you will cook them in short order...

i have heard some people say that they were awsome subs. I also heard people say that they were crap. I never heard them myself.

Volfenhag subs are one of those strange no name brands that you can always find in pawn shops.... the subs them selfs arnt worth 50 bucks let alot that much to ship them

Save your money, if you get the Volfenhag subs i garantee you withing a few months you will be in the market for new subs once again. they look nice have good specs but are as cheap as they come and sound like crap. But if you tell us what kind of amp you plan on using and your budget maybe we can make some suggestions.

well, i am thinking of running a viper 1200.1 amp to two of the 15s and this amp is like 500 bucks so it better be good. thanks

I have a Volfenhag 12". I have it wired to a 800 watt amp so that each vioce coils has its own channel. I personally am happy with it. The only thing I have noticed is that when the sub is really thumpin there is a buzz that comes from it that I haven't been able to nail down yet. For the price of the sub, they aren't bad, but there are definately better subs out there.
