anyone ever have a problem with a 98 vet.  i'm installing a remote starter but theres a problem with the starter wire.  if i apply 12 volts directly to the wire the starter doesn't crank.  i'm posative i have the correct wire cause when  i pull out the relay it wont start.  I'm thinbking maybe ther's nother wire that needs to be energized to start.  the vatts system is bypassed.  anyone have any ideas.  I've been through 2 techs and nobody can figure it out.  ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED

What wire did you test ? It should be the traditional YELLOW wire at the IGNITION harness. Also, Yellow/black at the BCM may be used for starter interrupt. This wire will show negative when the key is in the ignition, and will not allow the car to start when cut. Do NOT use for remote start.

yup good old yellow is the one, didn't do anything with yel/black.
