I'm looking into addding a DEI 795W pager system or an Alpine SEC-8205 pager to my current python alarm. I have a power antenna and both these units have an output to raise the antenna. I was just wondering if the antenna gets raised when the base unit needs to transmit only or if it gets raised as soon as I arm the alarm then stays up the whole time it's armed? Thanks.

If it is hooked up correctly it will only raise when the pager is broadcasting, once it finishes sending its signal then it should lower.

Thanks very much for the info.  By any chance do you have any experience with either of these paging systems?  I'm just trying to gather some information on how well they work, etc.  It seems not too many people use/have installed these systems.  Thanks a bunch.

Haven't really dealed with the alpine but the dei works. The pager is a little cheesy but as long as you are in range then it will work fine.

Sweet, thanks a bunch for the info. Just a couple more questions: What was your impression of the range of the system? They claim 1 mile which is more than enough but it seems a bit optimistic to me. Did you get a chance to test the range or have you heard any good/bad things about the range on these units?
And lastly, I was just curious...I noticed in the manual I looked at online that there are 2 + 200mA capable triggers for "power antennas" but I've never seen/noticed a car with 2 power antennas. What's the deal?
Thanks very much.
