Has anyone heard of Mannix car alarms. I have been to there web site, and I was just wondering if anyone has installed, and used one of these units.

Cool,

Did you have any problems with the installation? I am installing in a 2002 Cavalier and am struggling a bit locating all the connections. If you have any suggestions I will be a sponge

Thanks

Patrick

The light blue is located in the lower passenger kick panel, and catches the passenger door(s). Tap both wires and diode isolate each. Also found at BCM.  *4 The BCM is located to the left of the steering column above the kick panel.

Hi Patrick,

I just purchassed a mannix alarm system from Ebay for ~$140USD. I'm quite eager to get it home and start installing it. FWIW, this is my first install I'v attempted and am actually looking forward to it. I dug around on the net a bit and I can't find much info on this Mannix company(other than the corp. website and online stores). Not much in newsnet either. Anyways, I hope to start on this within the next two weeks or so, provided I can get my power door locks working(module fried).

Please keep us posted on how things go - if there's any problems I'd like to hear about them ahead of time!

BTW, what vehicle is this going into? Putting on on a '90 Accord EX (not worth much but lotsa vandalism in this area). One problem I see already is the neutral switch - don't know if I have one.

Regards,

-Jamie

I just got finished installing the unit in my 2002 Cavalier. The installation, went without a hitch, except!

I get three(3) beeps from the system the documentation says it should be only one(1) unless a door is open. All doors are shut. Not sure what the problem here is could be that I missed someting. Also I don't get a signal reading on my remote that tells me the signal stength.

If someone could give me a little insite I would be greatful.

Other than the items above the unit works GREAT!

Patrick

I had the same problem 3 beeps when arming when I installed my in the 97 eclipse and the problem was the dome delay circuit of the car the alarm was reading that the door was open, also you have to put a relay when conecting the dome supervision of the alarm and the alarm imput wire or the car will start once and then if you shut it down it will not remote start again, the diagram for  that it's with the manual of the alarm.

Good Luck
