help before this weekend 99 chevy

Im trying to locate the tach wire on a  99 full size chevy pickup.  8 coils

HARNESS (TRANSMISSION) Ignition #3 ORANGE IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS (HEAT/AC)#216 Accessory BROWN IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS Neutral Safety NOT GROUNDING TYPE - OEM SWITCH OPENS STARTER CIRCUIT Brake Light WHITE (+) AT SWITCH ABOVE BRAKE PEDAL Reverse Light L GREEN (+) AT SWITCH ON TRANSMISSION Rear Window Defrost N/A * Ignition Coil Is Located On Passenger Rear Of Engine. Some Trucks Will Be Equipt With A Multi-Coil Ignition System Similer To The Corvette. Tach Wire May Be Located At Each Coil Or At The PCM Left Front Of Engine Compartment. #216 - See G.M. or just pick up a tach signal on one of the injectors, done it b4 and it works great, BTW you will need a bypass unit for the passlock II, try the pldata, it works great Just a Guy, Wiring up those Vehicals

okay theres only one prob.  no white wire at the coils,  where is the pcm? i

ECM is located near the battery, down low, between the fender and the fan under the black plastic cover. On the 4.3L, the tach wire is at pin 20 in the connector labeled 'red', and VSS wire is at pin 3 in the connector labeled 'black'. On the 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L, the tach wire is located at pin 10 in the 'red' connector.
