congoman, your way works but its works all the time! By that i mean, you bypassed the vats system permanantly. So any theif cab now start that car without the key. If you use a relay and have it triggered by the remote start module then the vats system is only bypassed when remote starting. This way way you did it works fine, but its compromises security. The engine computer sees the resistance from the resistor and it thinks that the key is in the ignition. I think your better off investing a few more dollars in a realy to keep the integrity of the factory anti theft system functional.
