Hey there you all just another question for you. I am installing 2 JL 18w6's and was wondering of any way to convert the speaker wire connections over to a spring loaded speaker terminal. I have an old set of 8" solobaracs that have this type of connector and just think it would be more suitable for the 18's. I am using 8 guage wire for the speaker wire and just don't think soldering it will do the trick. If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t know about converting it to a spring loaded terminal but soldering the cable to the sub will give you the best connection.

I agree that JL's terminals SUCK. That is the only bad part about them. I have never seen a solution either.
