by the way this will control channel three of your remote how is yur remote set up now?

if your aux button supports the option for latched output, you can use that for on/off of the radio, connecting the ignition lead through a relay to that trigger.
push aux button, latched switch to on, triggrs relay, sends +12V to ignition/accessory wire of stereo, powers on radio.
push again, kills accessory lead, radio turns off.

i asked someone if you could setup a latch system off of one channel output of a remote, like if the system were on already the input would be interpreted as an off command and vice versa, they said it either couldn't be done or would be hard, i can't remember, is this true?
