Kind of a weird question. I replaced the factory deck in my '02 tahoe. I also pulled out the remote tape deck (since it won't function without the factory head unit). Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on what to use to cover the hole left by the tape deck??? I suppose I could leave the tape deck in but in my opinion it would be kind of stupid since it's inoperable (I never even used it when it was hooked up). Don't want to just leave the hole there. Thanks in advance.

Get a piece of ABS platics and cut to the proper size & shape. Use double sided tape to attach to the dash.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I was hoping to be a little more creative than that.

In my blazer, I cut out a piece of ABS and routered out holes for PS2 controllers. I used extension cables to get from the PS2 under the seat to the dash. I've also seen voltmeters and XM controllers mounted there.

I actually had my XM controller in there when I still had the factory deck. Now that I have the new Pioneer head unit I don't need the controller, thus I need to do something with the hole.
