now I know this exists and all, but Im just wondering if anyone might konw where I can do some reading on how to install it? I am going to mobile dynamics in a few months but I want to add this feature asap. I know that the car must be left in neutral and thats fine cuz im the only one who drives my car. I just want to know that when I follow the instructions as if the car were a automatic as far as I can, and I get to the point where I need to do whatever to make it start, what is it that I do? Is it jumping a wire to the starter or what? really would appreciate any help. thanks

lathan

There are many companies that offer a manual safe remote starter. What you have to do is bypass the clutch in your car ( negative or positive ) and then go through a sequence every time you get out of the vehicle when you want to be able to remote start your vehicle.

Just about every clutch in every vehicle can be bypassed w\o the addition of any special part(except maybe a relay or two). Be warned, if you bypass the clutch and activate the remote start w\o the veh. being in neutral, you'll be chasing the f#@%$& down the street! All you have to do is identify the type of clutch switch you have and then bypass it.
1. When the clutch is pressed a wire on the starter side of the switch gets 12v+(hook the 12v output of the R\S(remote start) to this wire.
2. Same as above except a wire sees 12v- instead of 12v+(use a relay to convert the 12v+ output of the r\s to (-)
3. When the clutch is depressed 2 wires come in contact or short(connect the 12v from the r\s to the normal start wire at the ign harness and add a relay to short the 2 clutch wires together)
     Have fun!

all you have to do is find the starter wire going to the clutch switch and cut it and connect it together. now it is like doing an auto car!! that easy. just remember to always leave it out of gear. I been doing this for years and never had a problem. Just make sure you don't loan your car that uses the remote start

Be warned if you go to Mobile Dynamics with a remote start on a manual tranny car without the proper safety restraints, they will tear you a new one!
