I've been looking at my dash and wondering where the heck I am going to mount everything for my Commando 870 Remote Starter and a universal transponder bypass.

I thought about behind the radio, but there isn't a lot of room in there and the location isn't that great.  I thought about putting it under the console on the floor (basically two cup holders) on top of the air bag box (not sure what it does exactly).  Another thought was mounting it under the metal plate thing under the steering wheel but that is again another easy place to get to and cut wires.

So if anyone has experiance with mounting a remote starter and bypass thingy in a Ranger and knows a good location let me know.

If your not comfortable posting it on a public forum just PM me please.

I have a 1996 Ranger and a good place for the bypass is in the drivers kick panel. I would mount the cpu under the dash on the drivers side. Just be neat with your wiring and you will have plebty of room. Good luck with it!
