Whats the deal with the door pins anyway. Alot of the wiring posts here say to hit the module in the door. However the little note (*3) says they are at the BCM?
Which is it?

the drivers door pin switch is Gray w/ black stripe, you can only get this in the door.

CHEVROLET, FULL SIZE PICKUP, 2003, Door Trigger
On base model trucks the door trigger wires are in the lt. blue plug at the BCM, pins B4 and A5. On 4dr trucks the LR door trigger is lt. blue/black, pin A3, and the RR is lt. GREEN/ black, pin A2. They are in the purple plug at the BCM. Use all wires and diode isolate.

I know the door triggers are at the bcm. These are where you tap in when installing an aftermarket alarm. But can I use the same wire to trigger the factory alarm by adding a pinswitch?? Or do I have to find another wire, such as the one described actually inside the door???

Yes those are the wires you are looking for all you need is to just tap into one of them. preferably the pass side one so you wont get the key chime noise if the gate is open and the key is in the ign.
